2012 Senior Night

On Friday night February 10th, the Class of 2012 varsity basketball players and cheerleaders will be honored before their respective games. The Crusaders will be taking on their Mid-Atlantic Independent Conference foes from Aquinas Academy at 5:30 pm (girls) and 7:00 pm. (boys). In addition, after the game, this year’s Mr. and Miss TSCA will be announced. It should be an exciting night. Please make plans now to come and support our Crusaders. We do charge an entrance fee to cover the cost of the officials, they are $4 for adults and $2 for students.

Chicken and Dumplings Dinner

In conjunction with Senior night on February 10th, our Class of 2014 will be hosting a Chicken and Dumpling dinner.  Mrs. Carolyn Gravely will be our chef for the evening. Take-out orders will be available after school at 3:00 pm (suggested donation of $5). The cafeteria will be open from 4:30 pm till 7:00 pm to enjoy some “old-fashioned” chicken and dumplings along with coleslaw, green beans, rolls, dessert and beverages. Donations are encouraged and accepted. All proceeds from the event will go to fund the 10th grade class trip to Williamsburg, Virginia in March.

High School Play

Recycling Program

TSCA is excited to announce that we have joined the Dream Machine Recycle Rally.  Through this program we will earn points by recycling plastic bottles and aluminum cans.  We will be able to redeem our points for rewards such as sporting goods, educational events, books and videos, and more!

We will have collection areas here within the school, but would love for you to collect and send in your empty bottles and cans from home as well.  Only Plastic #1 PET or PETE and aluminum beverage containers are accepted for pickup through the Dream Machine Recycle Rally program.  If you are unsure if a bottle is made of PET or PETE, please check the bottom of the bottle for the #1 recycling insignia.  Also, please be sure to leave the barcode on the bottles as well as any lids.

Also, just a reminder that we also collect Box Tops for Education, Campbell Soup Labels (must have barcode), Capri Sun Juice Pouches, and used toner cartridges.  Please send all items to the Main Office.

TSCA Fall Sports

We would like to congratulate our Tri-State Christian Academy Fall Sports Teams for their outstanding play!  We have some excellent players and coaches.  This week has seen some of our best games.

Volleyball Our high school girls volleyball team defeated Tall Oaks Classical in a Mid-Atlantic Independent League play-off game.  They advance to the MIL Semi at Tome vs Tome at 7:00pm on Thursday.  The middle school volleyball team won their last game against DDS. 

Cross County:  Our cross country teams competed in the MIL Championship meet on Tuesday, and our middle and high school girls finished in second place.

Soccer:  The boys middle school soccer team defeated The Christian Academy (Media, PA) 3-2 in a shoot-out on Monday.  On Tuesday, our boys high school soccer team defeated Mt. Airy Christian 5-3 in the first round of the state playoffs.  They advance to meet the #1 seed on Thursday at 3:30pm for a chance to go the MCST State Championship.

The efforts of our student athletes prove that our philosophy of athletics works.  We take our students and 'coach'em up' and let them do what they can do in their respective sports. A big 'Thank You' to Mr. Bill Smith who directs our sports program.  His efforts have continued a wonderful tradition of highly competitive athletics all accomplished with a Christ-like spirit. 

 

2nd Annual Crusader 5K Walk/Run

On Saturday October 15th, Tri-State Christian Academy will host the Second Annual Crusader 5K Walk/Run. Last year’s event raised nearly $1500. This year the nationally sanctioned course will begin and end at Elkton High School beginning at 8:30 am. It will cover five kilometers or a little over three miles. You may walk or run depending on your personal desire.

Registration is easy, you can print the registration form here or pick one up in the school office. The cost of registration is $20 for one, or $60 for a family of up to four before October 11th, after that date, the registration will be $25 and $75 respectively. The first 100 participants will receive T-Shirts commemorating the event. In addition, all families will receive 2 hours of family service for participating.

TSCA Fall Fundraising Drive

The fall fundraiser is here, from September 7th to the 26th! This year's fundraiser is "Mall in a Catalog" by Mink & Company. Our goal this year is to raise $25,000 in sales. If we can reach this goal, you can watch our Principal, Mr. Wilson, kiss a pig! There will also be great fun and prizes awarded too!

Soccer Fundraiser

The Varsity and Middle School Soccer teams will be fundraising to help with the cost of new uniforms for this upcoming season. We are scheduled to be at Wal-Mart in Elkton the next two Fridays (August 12th from 4:00-8:00 pm and August 19th from 4:00-8:00 pm). We will be selling Soft Pretzels, Candy, Chips, Soda and Water (at this time).

 

We are looking for Volunteers:

* The players are needed to accept donations from consumers at the door * Players and/or parents to sit at the sale table * 1 adult needed at each door. (An adult will be present the whole night, if you cannot stay with your student)

If you can't help with a time frame, please donate an item or money to purchase: Soda (Brand Name preferred), Candy, Mustard, Napkins, Pack of Lunch Bags, Roll of Aluminum Foil.

Please have players dress in School colors, Crusaders Athletic shirts, if they have them, soccer attire would be great! (No ECA attire)

TSCA Fireworks Benefit

Crusader Summer Camp

We invite you to join us for a fun-filled, country fair themed summer camp. Each week Crusader Camp will “Go Country” and participate in fun and exciting fair themed activities and lessons.  Camp will run from June 6th – August 12th, 9am-4pm daily with a variety of scheduled activities. 

This year we are excited to announce Crusader Summer Camp will be open to all children within the Tri-State area, so invite your friends and neighbors to join us! Two programs are available to serve your child’s age appropriate needs; “K-Camp” is for children ages 3½ – 5 and “Kids Camp” for ages 6-12. Family rates make it an affordable choice that meets your expectations for spiritual guidance, academic development, wholesome fitness and fun for your child throughout the summer.

Tri-State Christian Academy offers a strong academic program for preschool to 12th grade. We have excellent, warm and caring teachers that strive to provide quality instruction to our students.  TSCA is a Maryland State Approved Nonpublic School. The A Beka curriculum is utilized in most of the content areas except math. In math, teachers use the highly successful Glencoe program. Students will receive additional weekly instruction in the areas of Music, Art, Physical Education, Library, Computer Technology and Spanish.
